Selection Process — Librarian (Group-C)

The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will conduct an Offline OMR-based Competitive Examination for shortlisting candidates for the Librarian (Group-C) post under the School Education Department (Pre-University).

  • Mandatory Kannada Test: Candidates who haven’t studied Kannada as 1st/2nd language or haven’t passed a prior Kannada test must take this paper (150 marks, qualifying with 50 marks minimum). Marks are not added to merit.
  • Negative Marking: ¼ mark deducted for each wrong answer. Unanswered questions without shading the “no attempt” option also lose ¼ mark.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks: 35% of total marks in the competitive exam.
  • Final Selection: Based purely on written exam merit and document verification by KEA.
