🎓 Educational Qualification
B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering, 4-year course) with Pass Class from AICTE/UGC-approved college/institute or recognized university in the following disciplines: Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Instrumentation / Communication / Telecommunication; Mechanical / Mechatronics / Industrial Engineering & Management; Computer Science / CSE / IT / ISE; Electrical / EEE.
🗓️ Age Limit (as on 01-Sep-2025)
- General/EWS: Max 28 years
- OBC (NCL): Relaxation of 3 years
- SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years
- PwBD: Additional 10 years over the above, if applicable
💳 Application Fee
₹177 (₹150 + 18% GST) for UR/EWS/OBC candidates. SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempted from the fee.
💼 Salary & Allowances
1st Year | ₹30,000 per month |
2nd Year | ₹35,000 per month |
3rd Year (if extended) | ₹40,000 per month |
Plus a consolidated ₹12,000 per year towards medical insurance premium, attire, stitching, footwear, etc. (paid in two equal instalments). Additional 10% area allowance if posted at specified locations outside Bengaluru without BEL unit/office/support centres. Eligible Trainees may be advanced to Project Engineer-I based on performance; retention bonus applies after advancement and completion of overall tenure as per policy.
📝 How to Apply (Pre-Registration for Walk-In)
- Complete online pre-registration for the chosen job code (TEBG or TEEM) within the given dates.
- Fill all fields accurately; verify before submitting. Multiple applications for the same post are not allowed.
- Pay the application fee (if applicable) and retain the SBI Collect Reference Number for the form.
- Only pre-registered candidates will be permitted for the Walk-In written test.
Note: Both job codes have walk-in selection on the same day—apply for only one.
✅ Selection Process
- Written Test (Bengaluru only): 90 minutes, 85 questions (Technical + General Aptitude).
- Scoring: +1 for correct answer; −0.25 for wrong answer.
- Minimum Qualifying Marks: UR/EWS/OBC-NCL: 35%; SC/ST/PwBD: 30%.
- Call Letters: Download from BEL website using credentials (no email/postal dispatch).
- Next Stage: Document Verification based on merit.
