Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with at least second class.
- MLISc or equivalent with first class, passed in 2024 or 2025.

Job Description
- Traineeship scope: Learn while contributing across library functions using emerging tools & technologies. Assist in acquisition of content (print & digital), classification, cataloguing & organization of information resources, circulation & reference services, document delivery, and research support services.
- Work schedule: 6 days per week in any of the three shifts, including night shift duties and public holiday duties.
Duration
- Engagement: Purely temporary, contract basis for 2 years.
- Past IISc service: Prior service through HR appointments at IISc will be counted toward the maximum permissible tenure of two years.
