Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) has announced recruitment for 258 Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Tech posts across two streams — Computer Science & Information Technology: 90 and Electronics & Communication: 168. Shortlisting by GATE Score
Applicants are shortlisted purely on their valid GATE 2023/2024/2025 score in the relevant paper —
CS for CS/IT stream and EC for E&C stream. Higher normalized scores get priority.

Document Verification (at Interview venue)
Shortlisted candidates must produce originals & copies of age, education, caste/category, and GATE proof.
Non-submission of any required document may lead to cancellation.

Interview
Personal Interview carrying 175 marks. GATE score (normalized to 1000) + Interview
(175) = Total 1175 marks for final merit.

Final Merit & Selection
Final selection is based on combined merit (GATE + Interview), subject to document verification, category-wise
vacancy, and reservation rules.

Medical & Character Verification
Recommended candidates undergo medical fitness and character/antecedent verification. Appointment is liable to
All-India service.
