✅ Selection Process — Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Limited (KSDL)

  • Mode of selection: KEA will conduct a competitive examination (Offline — OMR). Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
  • Exam structure:

      • Junior Officer – Marketing (KK): Core marketing concepts (customer value & engagement), consumer markets & buyer behaviour (objective coverage).
      • Sales Representative / Operator (Semi-Skilled): Paper-1 as above; Paper-2 typically tests General Kannada, General English, and Computer Knowledge.
  • Compulsory Kannada Language Test: Required only for candidates who have not studied Kannada at SSLC/equivalent. Objective test for 150 marks; 50 marks minimum to qualify. Marks are qualifying only (not added to merit).
  • Qualifying benchmark: In the competitive exam, candidates must score at least 35% of total marks to be eligible for consideration (as applicable to KEA recruitment outside transport-specific posts).
  • Negative marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. An additional “no-answer” bubble is provided; shading it for unanswered questions avoids the negative mark.
  • Exam centres: Tests are proposed across major Karnataka districts such as Bengaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Dharwad, Ballari, Koppal, Vijayapura, Tumakuru, Kalaburagi (subject to administrative change).
