- Phase I – Prelims (Online, Objective): Sectional cut-offs; negative marking (¼ per wrong answer). Qualifying only—marks not counted for final merit.
- Phase II – Mains (Online): Objective tests (Reasoning, GA w.r.t Insurance/Financial Markets, Professional Knowledge) + Descriptive papers. No negative marking in Mains.
- Phase III – Interview: Shortlisting based on Mains performance; final merit = Mains + Interview. Pre-recruitment Medical fitness required.
Note: Around 20× the vacancies may be called for Mains (subject to availability). Sectional/aggregate cut-offs are decided by LIC.

1) Who can apply?
AE: B.E/B.Tech (Civil/Electrical) + 3 yrs relevant experience. AAO (Specialist): CA / CS / Actuarial / Insurance Specialist / Legal with respective qualifications/experience. Eligibility as on 01 Aug 2025.
2) What is the age limit?
AE, AAO (CS/Actuarial/Insurance): 21–30 yrs. AAO (CA/Legal): 21–32 yrs. Usual relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/confirmed LIC employees.
3) Is Prelims counted for merit?
No. Prelims is qualifying. Final merit = Mains + Interview.
4) Is there negative marking?
Prelims: Yes (¼ mark). Mains: No negative marking.
5) What’s in Mains?
Objective tests (Reasoning, GA with Insurance/Financial Markets, Professional Knowledge) + Descriptive (Professional Knowledge & English—English is qualifying).
6) Service bond & probation?
Probation: 1 year (extendable to 2). Bond: serve 4 years post joining; breaking the bond invites ₹5,00,000 liquidated damages.
7) Posting/location preferences?
All-India transfer liability. Stream notes: AAO (CS) – Mumbai; AAO (CA/Actuarial) – mainly Mumbai/ZO; AAO (Insurance Specialist) – initial posting (≈5 yrs) in mofussil branch; AAO (Legal) – branch training then Legal Cells.
8) Karnataka candidates eligible?
Yes. This is an All-India recruitment; no state-wise quota or breakup.
9) Final-year students can apply?
No. All qualifications/experience must be met by 01 Aug 2025 (including ICAI/ICSI/IAI/IFoA membership, fellowship, experience, etc.).
10) How many candidates go to Mains?
Typically up to ~20× the vacancies, subject to availability and cut-offs decided by LIC.
11) Can I edit the form after submit?
After final submit, edits aren’t allowed. Use Preview and Save & Next before final submission.
12) Multiple applications allowed?
