  1. Phase I – Prelims (Online, Objective): Sectional cut-offs; negative marking (¼ per wrong answer). Qualifying only—marks not counted for final merit.
  2. Phase II – Mains (Online): Objective tests (Reasoning, GA w.r.t Insurance/Financial Markets, Professional Knowledge) + Descriptive papers. No negative marking in Mains.
  3. Phase III – Interview: Shortlisting based on Mains performance; final merit = Mains + Interview. Pre-recruitment Medical fitness required.

Note: Around 20× the vacancies may be called for Mains (subject to availability). Sectional/aggregate cut-offs are decided by LIC.

1) Who can apply?
AE: B.E/B.Tech (Civil/Electrical) + 3 yrs relevant experience. AAO (Specialist): CA / CS / Actuarial / Insurance Specialist / Legal with respective qualifications/experience. Eligibility as on 01 Aug 2025.
2) What is the age limit?
AE, AAO (CS/Actuarial/Insurance): 21–30 yrs. AAO (CA/Legal): 21–32 yrs. Usual relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen/confirmed LIC employees.
3) Is Prelims counted for merit?
No. Prelims is qualifying. Final merit = Mains + Interview.

10) How many candidates go to Mains?
Typically up to ~20× the vacancies, subject to availability and cut-offs decided by LIC.
