Educational Qualification — What You Need

One-Year Apprenticeship

ITI Trades (Designated)

  • 10th (SSLC) + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
  • Common trades include: Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic/Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration & AC, Pipe Fitter, Shipwright (Steel/Wood), Tailor (General), etc.

While creating your portal profile, add only 10th & ITI qualifications. Keep mark sheets ready.

Two-Year / 15-Month Apprenticeship

Limited hostel accommodation (boys) available at NSRY Karwar on first-come-first-serve. No hostel at NAY Goa.

No accommodation during selection process; travel expenses are not admissible.

Selection Process — Step by Step

  1. Application Scrutiny — Data from apprenticeshipindia.gov.in + hard-copy “Candidate Profile” and documents are verified. Incomplete/late/mismatch entries are rejected.
  2. Shortlisting for Written Test — Trade-wise & category-wise shortlisting up to 1:20 (vacancy:applicants) where needed. Exam city: Karwar.
  3. Written Examination (OMR) — Merit based on a 100-mark test:

  4. Document Verification (DV) — Shortlisted candidates must produce originals and self-attested copies (education, ITI, caste/EWS/PwBD/ESM, Aadhaar, domicile, NAPS registration, etc.).
  5. Medical & Police Verification — Fitness certificate from District Hospital and Police Verification Certificate are mandatory at joining.
  6. Final Allotment & Joining — Trade/category roster applied on written-test merit. Provisional selection is subject to DV, medical fitness and PV; joining instructions issued by NSRY Karwar.
