Educational Qualification — What You Need
ITI Trades (Designated)
- 10th (SSLC) + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in the relevant trade.
- Common trades include: Fitter, Electrician, Machinist, Welder, Diesel Mechanic, Electronics Mechanic/Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration & AC, Pipe Fitter, Shipwright (Steel/Wood), Tailor (General), etc.
While creating your portal profile, add only 10th & ITI qualifications. Keep mark sheets ready.
Fresher (Non-ITI) Trades
- Have the prescribed qualification by the closing date; mismatched trade/qualification entries may be rejected.
- Attach self-attested copies of 8th/10th (as applicable) and ITI mark sheets with the printed Candidate Profile.

Note: For recruitment to Tradesman Skilled in Naval establishments, an upper age limit exists in the Recruitment Rules and applies to ex-Naval Apprentices separately from this apprenticeship enrolment.

Crane Operator (Overhead, Steel Industry)
- Months 01–03: ₹4,100
- Months 04–12: ₹8,200
- Months 13–15: ₹9,020
Minimum qualification: 10th pass; total duration 15 months.
Forger & Heat Treater
- Months 01–03: ₹4,100
- Months 04–12: ₹8,200
- Months 13–24: ₹9,020
Minimum qualification: 10th pass; total duration 24 months.
Rigger
- Months 01–03: ₹3,400
- Months 04–12: ₹6,800
- Months 13–24: ₹7,480
Minimum qualification: 8th pass; total duration 24 months.
Medical fitness through District Hospital is mandatory at joining; produce Police Verification Certificate at the time of joining.
Limited hostel accommodation (boys) available at NSRY Karwar on first-come-first-serve. No hostel at NAY Goa.
No accommodation during selection process; travel expenses are not admissible.
Selection Process — Step by Step
- Application Scrutiny — Data from apprenticeshipindia.gov.in + hard-copy “Candidate Profile” and documents are verified. Incomplete/late/mismatch entries are rejected.
- Shortlisting for Written Test — Trade-wise & category-wise shortlisting up to 1:20 (vacancy:applicants) where needed. Exam city: Karwar.

- Document Verification (DV) — Shortlisted candidates must produce originals and self-attested copies (education, ITI, caste/EWS/PwBD/ESM, Aadhaar, domicile, NAPS registration, etc.).
- Medical & Police Verification — Fitness certificate from District Hospital and Police Verification Certificate are mandatory at joining.
- Final Allotment & Joining — Trade/category roster applied on written-test merit. Provisional selection is subject to DV, medical fitness and PV; joining instructions issued by NSRY Karwar.
