Selection Process
-
Stage 1 – Competitive Written Examination (OMR mode)
- The written test is conducted by KEA in offline OMR mode.
- There will generally be two papers – a common General Aptitude paper (GK, reasoning, language, etc.) and a post-specific paper related to the subject/discipline of the post.
- All questions are objective type (multiple-choice). Question paper will be set in Kannada & English (except language-specific portions, if any).
- Candidates must carefully follow the instructions printed on the OMR sheet and admission ticket on exam day.
-
Stage 2 – Document Verification
- Based on written-exam performance, KEA will prepare a merit list for each post and category (GM, SC/ST, Cat-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B, etc.).
- Shortlisted candidates are called for original document verification – SSLC, degree/post-graduate marks cards, caste / reservation certificates, HTV licence (where required), experience certificate (where applicable), etc.
- Candidature will be cancelled if any document is missing, invalid or inconsistent with the online application.
-
Stage 3 – Final Selection & Appointment
- Final selection is made strictly on the basis of written-exam marks and valid reservation roster, subject to successful document verification.
- NWKRTC will issue appointment orders to selected candidates, who must undergo medical fitness and other service-related checks as per Corporation rules.
- Appointed candidates will be on probation for the period specified in the NWKRTC Service Rules; failure to obtain/maintain a valid HTV licence (for relevant posts) during probation can lead to cancellation of appointment.
