Eligibility (Education & Age)

  • Education: 10th/SSLC (10+2 system) with 50% aggregate + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trade.
    Engineering graduates/diploma holders are not eligible under this notice.

  • Age: 15–24 years as on 12/08/2025 (UR: born between 12/08/2001 and 12/08/2010; relaxations: SC/ST +5 yrs, OBC +3 yrs, PwBD +10 yrs, Ex-Servicemen as per rules).



Selection Process (Merit Basis)

  • Merit = average of 10th (%) + ITI (%) (no “best-of” rules).

  • Tie-breakers: older candidate first; if same DOB, who passed 10th earlier.

  • Final lists are prepared cluster/unit/trade/community-wise equal to slots; DV & medical fitness required.

Application Fee

  • ₹100 (online).

How to Apply

  1. Go to rrccr.com → Apprentice section → Apply Online.

  2. Keep Aadhaar ready (exceptions: J&K, Meghalaya, Assam—alternate Govt ID allowed).

  3. Pick only one cluster and set unit preferences within that cluster.

  4. Upload required docs (10th, ITI, caste, PwBD, Ex-servicemen, etc.).

  5. Certificates not in English/Hindi must have an attested translation in English/Hindi.

  6. Use active mobile/email for all communication. Multiple applications lead to rejection. 



Training & Stipend

  • Training period: 1 year.

  • Stipend: as per RBE 202/2019 (₹7,000/month for National/State Certificate holder).

  • No hostel; arrange own accommodation.



Important Instructions

  • Training does not confer right to Railway employment after completion.

  • DV/Medical certificate (Govt. doctor, Asst. Surgeon rank or above) mandatory.

  • No TA/DA for DV.

  • Wrong/forged documents → cancellation.
