The Department of Women and Child Development (WCD Shivamogga / Shimoga) has invited online applications for 16 Anganwadi Worker and 93 Anganwadi Helper vacancies in various village and ward Anganwadi centres of the district. Only eligible local women candidates can apply through the official website.

For Anganwadi Worker posts, candidates must have passed 2nd PUC and should have studied Kannada as first or second language in SSLC (10th). For Anganwadi Helper posts, the minimum qualification is SSLC / 10th Class pass. The general age limit is 19–35 years, with age relaxation for reserved categories as per Karnataka Government rules. 📝 How to Apply (Online)

1. Visit the official portal: Open the Karnataka WCD Anganwadi recruitment website and choose Shivamogga district recruitment notification.

1. Merit List (Marks Based): Separate merit lists are prepared for Anganwadi Worker (based on 2nd PUC marks) and Anganwadi Helper (based on SSLC marks) using the percentage obtained in the qualifying examination.

Preference / Weightage: As per WCD Shivamogga rules, priority is normally given to local women of the concerned village/ward, candidates with approved childcare-related trainings (ECCE/NTT/Home Science/JOC etc.) and eligible priority categories (widow/divorced/deserted women, persons with disability, acid-attack victims, etc., wherever applicable).
