Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university/equivalent by the last date of application.
- Candidates awaiting results may apply but must produce proof of passing by the cut-off date.
- For SI (Delhi Police) — Male: Valid LMV (Motorcycle & Car) driving licence required on the day of PE&MT.
Physical Standards & Endurance
Height & Chest (Indicative)
- Male (General): Height 170 cm; Chest 80–85 cm.
- Female (General): Height 157 cm.
- Relaxations apply for Hill Areas/Gorkhas/NE States/ST categories as notified.
- Weight: Proportionate to height & age per medical standards.
Physical Endurance Test (Qualifying)
- Male: 100 m in 16 sec; 1.6 km in 6.5 min; Long Jump 3.65 m; High Jump 1.2 m; Shot Put (16 lb) 4.5 m.
- Female: 100 m in 18 sec; 800 m in 4 min; Long Jump 2.7 m; High Jump 0.9 m.
- Ex-Servicemen: PET exempt; must qualify PST & medical standards.
Medical: Distant vision 6/6 & 6/9 (without glasses), no knock-knee/flat-foot/varicose vein/squint; high colour vision required.
Age Limit (as per 2025 rules)
- General: 20–25 years (reference date will be notified).
- SC/ST: +5 years; OBC: +3 years; ESM: 3 years after deducting service.
- Delhi Police (Departmental): UR/EWS up to 30, OBC up to 33, SC/ST up to 35 years (as applicable).
- Women (Widows/Divorced/Judicially Separated, not remarried): higher upper age limits for Delhi Police, as notified.

All SI posts carry Pay Level-6 (₹35,400–₹1,12,400) plus allowances such as DA, HRA/Transport, and risk/field allowances as applicable in respective forces. Selected candidates undergo basic training and are liable for all-India postings including field assignments.
