Udupi BCWD Pre-Army/Uniformed Services Training (2025–26, 2nd Batch)
The Backward Classes Welfare Department (BCWD), Udupi, invites applications from eligible boys belonging to Category-I, IIA, IIIA, and IIIB for free, residential pre-selection training to join the Indian Army and other uniformed services. The department provides training, food, and accommodation at no cost. The batch runs for about four months, is fully residential, and requires active participation in physical conditioning and basic written-exam preparation.

Selection Process
- Open Selection Rally at Mahatma Gandhi Maidan, Ajjarkadu (Udupi).
- Physical endurance and document screening at the venue.
- Bring a recent medical fitness certificate noting height (≈166 cm+), weight (≈50 kg+), and chest (77 cm with 5 cm expansion).
- No separate call letters are issued; eligible candidates may appear directly.
Place of Training
Koti Chennayya Pre-Army (Pre-Selection) Training School, Hanehalli, Barkur, Brahmavar taluk, Udupi district. The programme is fully residential; candidates must stay on campus throughout.
Can Candidates from Other Districts Apply?
Yes. A 30% preference is reserved for Udupi local candidates. If adequate local candidates are not available, eligible candidates from other districts of Karnataka will be considered. Karnataka domicile is mandatory for all.
