Educational Qualification (as on closing date)

  • 10+2 (Senior Secondary) with Science & Mathematics from a recognised Board, OR
  • National Trade Certificate (NTC) in “Mechanic-cum-Operator Electronic Communication System”.
  • Professional attainment (qualifying): Proficiency in Computer Operation — English word processing (1000 key depressions in 15 minutes) and basic functions (opening/closing PC, printing, MS Office usage, saving/modifying text, paragraph settings & numbering).
  • Degrees/diplomas via Open/Distance Learning must be recognised for the relevant period by the competent authority.

Age Limit & Relaxations

18–27 years as on 01-07-2025 (born between 02-07-1998 and 01-07-2007, both dates inclusive).

  • SC/ST: +5 years; OBC: +3 years.
  • Widows/divorced/judicially separated women (not remarried): up to 35 (UR/EWS), 38 (OBC), 40 (SC/ST).
  • Sportspersons of distinction: +5 years (SC/ST sportspersons: +10 years).
  • Departmental candidates of Delhi Police: up to 40 (UR/EWS), 43 (OBC), 45 (SC/ST).
  • Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting defence service from actual age.

OBC must be in the Central List; EWS and OBC-NCL/SC/ST certificates in prescribed formats are required at PE&MT.

Application Fee

₹100 (online via UPI/Net Banking/Debit Cards). Fee exempted for Women, SC, ST and eligible Ex-Servicemen.

Fee payment deadline: 16-10-2025 (23:00 hrs). Fees once paid are non-refundable.

Pay & Benefits

The post carries Pay Level-4 (₹25,500 – ₹81,100) in the Pay Matrix, Group ‘C’. Other allowances/benefits are as per Delhi Police/GoI rules.

How to Apply (Online)

  1. Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new SSC portal (old OTR at ssc.nic.in is not valid for the new site).
  2. Fill the online form for this examination; choose three exam centres (anywhere in India) in order of preference.
  3. Opt for Aadhaar-based authentication for easier verification.
  4. Capture a clear, real-time photograph as prompted; upload signature (JPEG, ~6.0cm × 2.0cm, 10–20 KB).
  5. Review all entries via Preview, submit, and pay fee (if applicable). Save a print/PDF of the application.
  6. If needed, use the Correction Window (23–25 Oct) — first correction ₹200, second correction ₹500.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

  • Computer Based Examination (CBE) — 100 questions, 100 marks, 90 minutes; negative marking 0.25. Sections: General Awareness (20), General Science (25), Mathematics (25), Reasoning (20), Computer Fundamentals & Internet (10). Level: Class 12. Medium: Hindi/English.
  • PE&MT (Delhi only, qualifying): age-banded race + long jump + high jump; digital height/chest measurement (male height 170 cm; chest 81–85 cm with expansion; female height 157 cm). Certain relaxations apply for hill-area residents and wards of Delhi Police personnel.
  • Trade Test (qualifying): reading & dictation in Hindi and English to assess wireless message handling (more than 50% mistakes in any language leads to disqualification).
  • Proficiency in Computer Operation (qualifying): English word processing speed test (1000 key depressions/15 min) + basic functions in Word/PowerPoint/Excel with specified formatting tasks; minimum marks required in each software task set.
  • Merit & Tie-break: Final merit from CBE marks plus permitted incentives/weightage; tie resolved by age (older first), then alphabetical order of first name.
  • Bonus/Incentives: NCC ‘C’/‘B’/‘A’ certificates add 5%/3%/2% of max marks; RRU degree/diploma weightage as per class obtained.
