Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has invited online applications for direct recruitment to various posts in the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). A total of 224 posts are notified in the Residual Parent Cadre (RPC) and Kalyana Karnataka (KK) units (including backlog vacancies), covering Assistant Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Science), Junior Engineer (Civil/Electrical/Mechanical), Assistant, Junior Assistant, Meter Reader and Second Division Storekeeper posts. Eligible candidates must apply online only through KEA and appear for the competitive examination as per the official notification.

Notes: Minimum age is calculated on the last date to apply online (25.11.2025). The maximum ages shown above already include the one-time +3 years relaxation granted by Government Order dated 29.09.2025. Other statutory relaxations (e.g., Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, ex-servicemen, etc.) apply as per Karnataka Civil Services (General Recruitment) Rules, 1977 and detailed BWSSB/KEA notification.

How to pay: Fee must be paid online only through KEA. The fee is non-refundable. Last date to pay: 26 Nov 2025. If you apply for additional posts under the same syllabus, you must pay an extra ₹100 per additional post. PwBD means ≥40% disability with a valid certificate issued by the District Medical Authority.

Selection Process

Stage	Details
Stage 1 — Kannada Language Test (if applicable)	Candidates who have not studied Kannada as a first or second language in SSLC/equivalent must appear for the Kannada language test conducted by KEA. It is a qualifying-only test; candidates must secure the minimum marks prescribed in the notification. Marks in this test are not counted for the final merit list.
Stage 2 — Competitive Written Examination	KEA will conduct an objective-type written examination (OMR-based) at selected centres in Karnataka. Question paper will cover General Knowledge, Mental Ability, Constitution, public administration, Karnataka-related topics and/or technical/subject syllabus depending on the post (AE/JE/Assistant, etc.). The written exam marks are used to prepare the merit list separately for each post and unit (RPC & Kalyana Karnataka).
Stage 3 — Document Verification	Based on the written exam scores and reservation/category norms, KEA will call candidates in the ratio mentioned in the notification for original document verification. Candidates must produce proof of age, educational qualification, caste/category, Kannada medium/Kannada language exemption, PwBD certificate (if any), and other required documents.
Stage 4 — Final Selection & Appointment	Final selection is based on written exam marks only (subject to qualifying in Kannada test wherever required). KEA will prepare separate post-wise & category-wise merit lists for RPC and Kalyana Karnataka units. Appointment orders and posting to BWSSB vacancies will be issued by the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board as per the final select list.

New Registration / Login

Click on “Online Application” for BWSSB. Do new registration with your mobile number & email ID, or login if you already have KEA recruitment credentials.

Fill Application Form

Enter personal details, category, educational qualification, experience (if any) and select the post(s) you are applying for (AE/JE/Assistant/JA/Meter Reader/Storekeeper).

Upload Photo & Signature

Upload recent passport size photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format (as given in the notification).

Pay Application Fee

Proceed to fee payment through the available online modes (debit/credit card, net banking, UPI). Ensure the payment status shows as “Successful”.

Final Submit & Print

Re-check all details, click Final Submit, then download and print the application form and fee receipt for future reference (exam & document verification).
