Educational Qualification — Local Bank Officer (JMGS-I)

Post	Minimum Education
Local Bank Officer (LBO), JMGS-I	Graduate in any discipline from a University/Institution recognized/approved by the Government of India or its regulatory bodies.

Important: Candidate must possess a valid Degree/Mark-sheet on the date of registration; minimum 1-year post-qualification experience in Clerical/Officer cadre in any Scheduled Commercial Bank/Regional Rural Bank is required; and proficiency (read/write/speak) in the specified local language of the chosen State is mandatory.

Selection Process — Local Bank Officer (JMGS-I)

Online Written Test Objective test conducted online. Bilingual (English/Hindi) except English Language section. Candidates are shortlisted based on performance and notification rules.

Screening of Eligibility Verification of age, education (degree on date of registration), minimum 1-year post-qualification banking experience, and other criteria.

Local Language Proficiency Test State-specific language (read/write/speak). Qualifying in nature where applicable; non-proficiency leads to disqualification.

Interview Shortlisted candidates are called for interview. Weightage/qualifying marks as prescribed in the advertisement; category-wise norms apply.

Document Verification & Medical Original documents in prescribed formats are verified. Medical fitness as per Bank’s standards.

Final Merit & Appointment Final selection as per merit and rules, subject to DV/medical/character verification. Initial posting within the opted State; probation 2 years.
