Notes: Minimum age is counted on the last date to apply. How to pay: Online only. Fee is non-refundable. Last date/time to pay: 15 Nov 2025, 4:00 PM. If you apply for additional posts under the same syllabus, pay an extra ₹100 per additional post. PwBD means ≥40% disability with a valid certificate from the District Medical Authority.

Selection Process

Apply Online

Submit the application on KEA’s portal within the notified dates. Once submitted, edits are not allowed—read instructions carefully before filling the form.

Kannada Language Test (Qualifying, if applicable)

Exempt if Kannada was 1st/2nd language in SSLC or if you’ve already passed an approved compulsory Kannada test. Otherwise, take an MCQ test (150 marks); minimum 50 to qualify. Marks are not counted for merit.

Competitive Examination (Offline OMR)

Objective OMR exam at designated district centres. Detailed schedule and hall-ticket download will be announced on KEA’s website; carry a valid photo ID.

Minimum Qualifying & Negative Marking

Minimum 35% required in the competitive exam. Negative marking: ¼ mark per wrong answer. Shade the 5th bubble for unanswered questions (extra 5 minutes at the end).

Merit & Post Mapping

If you apply for multiple posts under the same syllabus, a single exam is held and the same score is considered for all such posts. KEA forwards the marks/merit list to the department as per roster rules.

Document Verification & Final Appointment

Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates valid as of the last date (education, reservation, etc.). Non-submission/invalid format leads to rejection; final appointment is as per Government/KCS rules.

Admit Card & Centres: Exam cities typically include Bengaluru, Mysuru, Davanagere, Dakshina Kannada, Shivamogga, Belagavi, Dharwad, Ballari, Koppal, Vijayapura, Tumakuru and Kalaburagi. Download hall-tickets only from KEA’s website and carry one original ID proof.
